How do I get involved in ministry at PromiseLand?
We welcome everyone to get involved in ministry. We require nothing to get started. Once you begin in an area, your skills, history, and leadership will determine how you advance or progress. Background checks are required for all volunteering in ministries that involve minors.
Why does this church have PromiseGroups instead of a mid-week service?
PromiseGroups are small groups that meet all over the San Marcos and surrounding areas. They give us a chance to minister to one another in a way impossible during a regular "service". We get to know each other more intimately and we learn how God can work in our lives. We have a mid-week service the First Wednesday of the month at our church 7:15pm.
When can we get our baby dedicated?
Babies are usually dedicated on the third Sunday of the month. The family needs to call the church office 2 weeks in advance to schedule it in the service. Children that are older and have not been dedicated can be dedicated as well.
When can I get baptised and what is required?
Everyone needs to be baptised. The only requirement to baptism is age, repentance and commitment to Jesus Christ. One needs to be able to understand the concept and principle of baptism. This is up to the parent and child. Baptisms are done all the time. Following each service, people planning on being baptized are shown what to do. We have baptismal clothing and towels available at the church.
When are the church offices open and where are they located?
